Last week Milliken Park Mustangs held a special event to recognize Mrs. Jill Russman! Mrs. Russman has been recognized by the local VFW Auxiliary Post 854 for her involvement in our Veterans Day program and zest for teaching and Americanism. Mrs. Russman has been selected as the VFW Teacher of the Year for grades K-5! She will be recognized this week at an awards ceremony by the Nebraska VFW. In honor of this award, Mayor Joey Spellerberg proclaimed January 24, 2025, as Nebraska VFW Teacher of the Year Day - Jill Russman! She also received a certificate of recognition from Senator Mike Flood! Congratulations Mrs. Russman, we are so proud of you!!

Today student leaders from 4th, 5th and 6th grades attended the Region 2 Leadership Conference at UNO with adult leaders. These amazing students represented out district well from all seven elementary buildings and JCAC! We want to thank the Fremont Public Schools Foundation for their sponsorship of this event and T-shirts. Go Tigers!
