2025-2026 Updates

Fremont, Neb. – (July 16, 2025) The Fremont Public Schools Board of Education recently held the regular meeting in July. Amongst the items approved were student and staff handbooks, of note are the newly adopted electronic device and cell phone policy, as required by State Statute LB 140 and daily schedules for all buildings.

The daily start and end times for all buildings for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows:

  • Elementary - 8:00 am - 3:20 pm

  • Johnson Crossing Academic Center - 7:55 am - 3:15 pm

  • Fremont Middle School - 8:05 am - 3:25 pm

  • Fremont High School - 7:50 am - 3:10 pm

Transportation bus schedules will stay the same. The new schedules will allow for increased supervision and more flexibility for after school activities.

The electronic device and cell phone policy states that devices will not be allowed during instructional time.

  • Elementary & Johnson Crossing Academic Center - Electronic devices and cell phones must be put away in backpacks or lockers on silent upon entering the building. 

  • Fremont Middle School - Electronic devices and cell phones are allowed before and after school, as well as during lunch. During instructional times, devices must be put away in lockers on silent.

  • Fremont High School - Electronic devices and cell phones are allowed before and after school, during passing periods, as well as during lunch. During instructional times, devices must be put away on silent.

If a student needs to contact their parent or guardian they may go to the office and use the school phone or ask for permission to use their electronic device or cell phone.
