Lori McIntyre succeeding Susan Farkas

Fremont, Neb. – (Apr. 10, 2026) Fremont Public Schools is announcing the appointment of Lori McIntyre as the Milliken Park Elementary Principal, beginning July 1, 2026. Susan Farkas, current Principal, has resigned after 17 years in the district. She will be taking a position at the Nebraska Department of Education as the Director of Statewide Assessment. FPS thanks Susan for her service and dedication to the district. 

McIntyre is the current dean of students at Johnson Crossing Academic Center. She previously served as an Elementary Teacher, Assistant Elementary Principal and Elementary Principal at Bergan Elementary and worked for the Bergan Catholic Schools for 17 years. The district has already hired a replacement for Lori’s current role as dean of students, Kylee Neville.

McIntyre grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Midland University and her Administration Degree from Creighton University. Lori and her husband Josh have five children and one grandchild.
