Seth McClain

Fremont, Neb. – (May 1, 2026) Fremont Public Schools is announcing the appointment of Seth McClain as the Fremont High School Activities Director/Assistant Principal, beginning July 1, 2026. Scott Anderson, current FHS Activities Director/Assistant Principal has been named as the Fremont Middle School Assistant Principal beginning July 1, 2026. 

McClain is currently an assistant principal at Fremont High School and has been in that position since 2020. McClain came to Fremont Public Schools in 2011 to teach secondary science and coach boys football as the head coach. The district will immediately begin searching for his replacement for the FHS assistant principal position.

McClain has a Bachelor of Arts degree in secondary education from Peru State College and Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from Doane University. McClain’s teaching career started in 1999 at Yutan Public Schools. He has also taught at Omaha Burke High School and Schuyler Public Schools. Seth has four children and his wife, Katie, is a physical education teacher and softball coach at Fremont High School.

We’re excited to see him expand his impact through a greater focus on activities and student engagement at Fremont High School,” stated Dr. Brad Dahl, superintendent.
