June Board Meeting Recap
Fremont, Neb. – (June 22, 2026) Fremont Public Schools Board of Education recently adopted a new 5-Year Strategic Plan at the regularly scheduled June Board of Education meeting. Over the next five years the district will focus on what matters most: strong learning, student well-being, excellent educators and trust with the community. There are six key pieces the district will track with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Prepare Students for Life Through Personalized Learning
Build Trust with Families and Communities
Strengthen and Retain Excellent Educators
Use Resources Strategically and Sustainably
Board President Todd Hansen stated, “We used the blueprint from our external accreditation visit to create our vision and goals for the next five years. Each piece of the plan can be measured to continue to move the needle of Fremont Public Schools in a positive way.”
Additionally at the June Board of Education meeting, several Board policies were reviewed and adopted. The Board also approved one foreign exchange student for the 2026-2027 school year at FHS, renewed the cooperative bowling agreement with Archbishop Bergan and Logan View High Schools for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school year and approved a donation request from First United Methodist Church to Bell Field Elementary for $1,820.00. The Board also approved the sale of CTE House #2 for $238,000.00.
